Lift Up Leaders Mentorship
The Lift Up Leaders Mentorship Program serves to effectively connect Federal Bar Association members at all stages of their legal careers, offering meaningful opportunities to foster leadership, personal growth, and a commitment to diversity. Through this program, members gain access to invaluable mentorship relationships, guidance, and networking experiences designed to support their development and navigate the evolving demands of the legal profession.
This initiative aims not only to enhance individuals' skills, knowledge, and capabilities but also to strengthen the professional community and contribute positively to the broader legal landscape. By nurturing a diverse pipeline of future leaders, the program reinforces the association’s commitment to inclusivity. It ensures that members are well-equipped to make lasting, impactful contributions to the legal field.
Why Join?
The Federal Bar Association’s mission of “Serving the Federal Legal Community” drives this program, offering mentorship and coaching while building connections across the FBA's national network. By facilitating discussions between law students, newer practitioners, or transitioning attorneys and seasoned professionals, the program nurtures future leaders, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
How It Works
Mentees and mentors create profiles on the Lift Up Leaders portal, where the system matches mentees with mentors based on their goals, interests, location, or leadership roles. This six-month program encourages regular meetings to foster meaningful, supportive relationships.
Program Timeline
Enrollment and matching run from August 28 to October 2, 2023. Participants are expected to engage for at least six months through regular, flexible meetings. Webinars and resources are provided to guide conversations.
