2024 Frank J. McGarr & Milton Gordon Award Nominations
The Federal Bar Association’s Chicago Chapter is once again at the forefront of celebrating exceptional legal talents who have dedicated their careers to exemplary federal government service. This year, we have the honor of inviting nominations for two prestigious awards: the Frank J. McGarr Award and the Milton Gordon Award. Named after two distinguished figures in the legal community, these awards aim to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the federal government, with one focusing on seasoned professionals and the other on promising attorneys early in their careers.
As we prepare for our Annual Meeting and Installation Luncheon this fall, we look to you, our valued members and the broader legal community, to help us identify and honor those whose dedication and service embody the spirit of Frank J. McGarr and Milton Gordon.
Nominate an Attorney for the Frank J. McGarr Award
The FBA-Chicago Chapter is seeking nominations for candidates for the Frank J. McGarr Award.
The Chicago Chapter presents this award to an attorney for distinguished federal government service. The award is given in the name of the late Chicago Chapter Past-President Frank J. McGarr (1921-2012), a U.S. District Court Judge and former First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois.
The FBA-Chicago Chapter will recognize the Frank J. McGarr Award recipient at our Annual Meeting and Installation Luncheon this fall.
We need your help to identify nominees. Your nomination should include a one-page description of why the nominee qualifies for the award recognizing excellence in federal government service and should provide contact information for that individual. Nominate an Attorney for the Milton Gordon Award
The FBA Chicago Chapter is seeking nominations for candidates for the Milton Gordon Award.
The FBA-Chicago Chapter presents the Milton Gordon Award for distinguished federal government service by an attorney under the age of 40 or in practice for less than ten years. The award is given in the name of the late Milton Gordon, a distinguished attorney who spent his career in service to state and local governments.
The FBA-Chicago Chapter will recognize the Milton Gordon Award recipient at our annual Meeting and Installation Luncheon this fall.
