Influencers, Social Media, and Legal Ethics
On July 25, 2019, FBA members met for a lunchtime CLE on “Influencers, Social Media, and Legal Ethics – Hot Topics and Emerging Trends.”
Erin McAdams Franzblau presented on the ethical rules governing lawyers’ use of social media to research jurors, clients and witnesses, preservation obligations, and the extent to which social media evidence may be used in court. Danielle Garno covered federal agencies’ regulation of social media influencer marketing. The audience and panel enjoyed a lively discussion on this rapidly evolving body of law.
