On March 27, 2019, over 40 practitioners heard from two N.D. of Illinois bankruptcy judges, Judge Doyle and Judge Goldgar, on “Bankruptcy Basics for Non-Bankruptcy Lawyers.” The Judges gave an overview of the purposes and workings of the bankruptcy system, explained the differences between chapters 7, 11, and 13, and fielded questions from the audience on everything you wanted to know about bankruptcy law but were too afraid to ask.
